International
MasterCard International - UBA Plc is a direct agent of MasterCard International, the world’s number one credit card. UBA MasterCard, the product from this alliance is an acceptable and convenient payment solution for the movement of money across national boundaries.
MoneyGram International – UBA MoneyGram, a product of the relationship between United Bank for Africa Plc and MoneyGram International, a global money transfer service, has continued to touch the lives of Nigerians by leveraging on the vast branch network of UBA to effect to make dollar payouts to beneficiaries of money transfer services from different parts of the world.
UBS (Switzerland) – UBA Plc, Nigeria’s largest bank and UBS AG, the world’s leading investment banking and assets management company will explore opportunities in foreign reserves management, assets management, pension and mutual funds management, investment banking as well as the marketing of securities originating from Nigeria internationally.
North American Airlines – UBA with North American Airlines (NAA), which recently commenced flight operations in Nigeria, are partnering to facilitate ticketing arrangements for United States-bound passengers, leveraging on UBA’s superior service delivery and vast branch network.
Travelex – UBA and Travelex will seek to take advantage of opportunities in the currency market to boost bureau de change operations in line with the Federal Government’s directive to fuse the parallel and official forex markets. Travelex will be allowed implants in UBA’s business offices to ensure customers get the maximum value. This partnership is also leveraging UBA’s vast network of branches

US Mission to Nigeria – The United States Mission to Nigeria, comprising the US Consulate office in Lagos and the American Embassy, in partnership with UBA, have made more convenient, the payment of visa application fees and other ancillary fees by people who wish to travel to the United States from Nigeria. In this alliance, UBA has been made the sole collecting bank for visa and other payments.
ATMC – UBA’s membership of the Automated Teller Machines Consortium is geared towards making the Nigerian economy cashless. The consortium represents a collaborative effort to develop a shared infrastructure throughout Nigeria for participating banks (members and non-members alike) to dispense cash to their customers through the Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) of the consortium thereby making cash available to customers 24 hours a day, seven days a week and freeing tellers businesses that could otherwise be handled (faster) by machines.
ValuCard – UBA Plc is a member of the ValuCard Consortium which pioneered the nation’s foremost electronic purse. UBA’s role as a member of this consortium is another demonstration of the bank’s commitment to move the country towards cash less ness.
InterSwitch – an interactive electronic funds transfer and transaction switching and processing infrastructure provider, seeking to fill a large infrastructure gap in the Nigerian e-Commerce financial services industry.
Virgin Nigeria – With UBA, Virgin Nigeria has made ticketing opportunities available in more locations for Nigerians. One needs not be at the airport to make reservations and do actual ticket purchases.>
The partnership affords Virgin Nigeria to co-within UBA branches. The latest development in this strategic alliance is the launch of the e - ticketing scheme in which one can initiate, pay and receive air ticket from remote locations without any human interface.
MTN – MTN, Nigeria’s leading GSM service provider and UBA, Nigeria’s financial solutions powerhouse have made it possible for Nigerians to recharge their phones on the numerous InterSwitch ATMs across the country. The partnership between the two leaders gave rise to a special electronic purse, called X-Change with which users can make cash withdrawals as well as purchase airtime for their phones in all InterSwitch ATMs across the country |
