U-Direct

U-Direct is the brand name of the new and improved internet banking solution of UBA Plc. This solution, now available for use, represents our new face to the virtual banking world, effectively taking over from Standard Virtual and EBPP.

Accessible via www.ubadirect.com or www.ubagroup.com/udirect, U-Direct literarily puts a wide range of UBA‘s banking services at your finger tip by bringing these services directly to you regardless of time and place. It is a cheaper alternative to conducting your non-cash banking activities in the banking hall.

Some of the features of this solution, which you can enjoy from the comfort of your office or home through your PC, include the following:

Viewing account balances and details wherever you are in the world 24/7; also view and download transaction receipts

Download your statements of account anytime you want it;
Stop payments;
Make status enquiries on such things as issued cheques, outward clearing instruments, details of TOD, etc;
Access linked or other accounts (joint account, nominees, etc);
Transfer funds – between own, third party or named beneficiary branch accounts; transfers to accounts of other Interswitch banks coming soon
Make requests for such things as cheque books, opening and renewal of fixed deposit accounts, Demand draft; and Switch mailing address;
Send and receive mails to/from U-Direct account manager. Soon, users will be able to send and receive from any ubagroup email.

Basic Alerts

The U-Direct solution supports pull alerts, which will be available to a user when the user logs into the application. These alerts include: -Account balance less than a certain pre-defined amount X – ‘X’ can be set by the user; Outward clearing instrument alert; Deposit account maturing in X days - 'X' will be a parameter set by the bank; Loan repayment due in X Days - 'X' will be a parameter set by the bank; Loan repayment overdue alert; and Loan installment overdue.

Registration and access

With these benefits, we encourage you to henceforth use the U-Direct solution for transacting your non-cash business. In this connection, the first thing to do to kick-off this process is to register and receive U-Direct access, by following these steps:

Obtain the registration form from the business office closest to you or download same from the website stated above, or via the intranet
Complete the form and return it to the nearest business office.
Pick up your Personal Identification Number (PIN) mailer at the same business office in 2 above, after 3 to 4 working days of submission of duly completed registration form.
Acknowledge receipt and permit activation of service on the stub attached to the mailer.
Tear off this completed stub and submit to the same branch under 3.
After one working day of submission of the PIN mailer acknowledgement stub, log on to U-Direct, using the user ID and default password stated on the mailer. You will then be prompted to change your password at first log on.
