The Lion Prime Account is a special current account designed to reward Account Holders who would maintain high balances in their current account.

    • Initial Opening Balance of Ugx 250, 000.00
    • Withdrawals are subject to COT charge in line with banker’s tariff (negotiable).
    • Zero C.O.T for accounts with minimum operating balance above Ugx 10,000,000, while the normal C.O.T rate applies in accounts below Ugx 10,000,000.
    • Interest charged on account debit balance
    • Cheque/ cash withdrawal or lodgement.
    • Unlimited number of cheque transactions FCDA
    • Minimum opening & operating balance of $200, f200 or E200.
    • Account is operated only in foreign currency i.e. Dollar, Pound sterling or Euro
    • Account operated as Export Proceed Dom account or Ordinary Dom Account
    • Cheque and cash withdrawals subject to 0.5% charge

  • ENROLMENT PROCESS
    • Complete current account opening form
    • 2 passport photographs
    • Valid means of identification; International Passport, Drivers Licence, National ID card accompanied with another ID that captures prospect’s signature or Letter of Identification by a UBA current account holder or Residence Permit (if an immigrant)
    • 2 satisfactory references by Current Account Holders.
    • Any Utility bill not exceeding 3 months old.
