The star prize of the promo was an all expense paid trip to watch Arsenal FC play live at the Emirates for 2 lucky customers. It will be recalled that a Lawyer, Barrister Tochukwu Oguike won a Toyota Camry Salon during an earlier promotion on the same product. The Gunners LIVE promo while it lasted recorded a lot of patronage from existing and new customers of the bank. The bank also launched a dedicated Fan page for Gunners supporters on Facebook called ìUBA Gunners Galoreî; where supporters could interact, discuss and win prizes.
At draws held in UBA Head Office recently, Seun Gbadebo of Lagos state University and Ernest Ekweme of NNS QORA Naval base, Apapa, Lagos each won the star prize of an all expense paid trip to watch Arsenal play live at the Emirates stadium in London. Other prizes won during the draws included; Arsenal gift packs, footballs, towels and other branded giveaways. The promotion was also extended to staff of the bank.
UBA entered into an exclusive and strategic partnership deal with the English football giant, Arsenal Football Club. The deal, signed by officials of both institutions at Emirates Stadium in London on Tuesday May 27, 2008, will see UBA and Arsenal collaborate on a variety of Arsenal financial services and grass root football initiatives. The financial services partnership will include co-branded electronic payment solutions such as debit and credit cards for consumers in all West African locations where UBA currently operates.
