What is E-Alert?
E-Alert is a service whereby customers are alerted or notified on any transaction on their account.

Can I request for SMS alert only?
Yes

Can I request for E-mail alert only?
Yes

Can I request for alert if I am not resident in Nigeria?
Yes

If I lose my phone and number how can I change my alert to a new phone number?
Visit any of the UBA branch to deactivate the old profile and reactive your alert on the new phone number.

What if I have a new email address?
Yes, your old email can be changed to your new email. Visit the nearest branch for update of your alert profile.

How do I register for Umobile?
Below are the steps to get Umobile:
Ensure that your phone is GPRS/JAVA enable;
Text ‘Umobile xxxxx’ to 30013 for MTN & ZAIN subscribers and 31013 for GLO subscribers, where xxxxx is any number of your choice;
You will receive an SMS with a link, click on the link to download to your phone;
Register Debit card; register name, 19 digit card number, expiry date & year and click register to continue;
When card is successfully register, test the solution with Balance enquiry;
Visit any UBA branch close to you for activation

How do I know if my phone can have Umobile?
If the phone is a JAVA/GPRS phone, then Umobile can be installing on it

How do I get GPRS settings on my Phone?
You can get the settings by calling your service provider or Send settings as a text message to 3888 for MTN subscriber and Activate as a text message to 444 for GLO subscriber.

I have downloaded the application successfully, how do I activate my card on Umobile?
Kindly visit the nearest branch to you for activation

Can I buy air time to some phone number with Umobile?
Yes

Can I pay my DSTV with Umobile?
Yes

What if I don’t have GPRS on my phone, can I still use Umobile?
Yes; you can use ‘SMS fail over’

What is ‘SMS fail over’ on Umobile
SMS failover on Umobile is when your request is sent to you via SMS when there is GPRS problem.

What if I loss my phone, can some body else use it?
No; when you misplace your phone, some else can not use it if you have not compromise your ATM password.

How secure is Umobile?
Umobile has an Inbuilt 3DES Encryption and the Password is Encrypted.

Can I register more than one card on Umobile?
Yes. You can register more than one card on Umobile if you have more than one card with UBA.
•
Can I have Umobile on two phones?
You can only have Umobile one phone; you can not use it simultaneously on two phones.

Any time I try using any feature other than balance enquiry and mini statement, the response I get is that ‘your subscription has not been verified’ and ‘security violation’
