LATEST ONLINE FRAUD ALERT (UBA LEGAL DISCLAIMER)

Internet Fraud Alert

Dear Customers,

We have been alerted to a fraudulent email purporting to originate from UBA notifying customers about a change in their account information and temporal deactivation of their account from transfer and withdrawal.
The fraudulent email also asks customers to log on to the website which appears as  https://www.ubadirect.com/asset/im/login to reconfirm and verify their account.

Customers are hereby advised not to log on to this website to reconfirm and verify their account at any time.

Please note:
On no account should anyone visit any website in order to reconfirm and verify their account. Such an act would immediately compromise your account and render your account vulnerable to fraudulent withdrawals.

The claim that your account has been temporary deactivated for transfers and withdrawals is totally untrue and is merely a way of luring you to divulge your account details by clicking on the fraudulent link above.

Any customer that has already responded to such fraudulent email should immediately notify his/her relationship manager at his/her branch or call CIC (01 – 2808822, 07002255822) to prevent fraudulent withdrawals on their accounts.

Forwarding this alert to friends and family members would also help inform them and combat this fraud.

Thank you.
