LATEST ONLINE FRAUD ALERT (UBA LEGAL DISCLAIMER)

Udirect Scam Mail

Dear Customers,

We have been alerted to fraudulent emails purporting to originate from UBA with the subject “UBA Public Announcement” and “UBA Account Reactivation”. The themes of the emails are notification to customers that their accounts have been suspended because of several log-in failed attempts and to provide their account information due to the recent upgrade of UBA SSL servers. :

The purpose of this scam is to lure you to provide your personal and account information on fraudulent websites.

You are hereby advised not to log on to any website to authenticate and/or validate your profile.

Please note: Remember that your account user ID and password are confidential and should not be disclosed to anyone.

On no account should anyone visit any website in order to authenticate their profile. Such an act would immediately compromise and render your account vulnerable to fraudulent withdrawal.

If you do not know the source of an e-mail, or if it looks suspicious in any way, do not open it. Delete e-mails from unknown senders without opening them. Disregard and delete spam, chain and junk e-mails.

If you have already responded to a fraudulent email, immediately notify your relationship manager or call CIC on (012808822 or 07002255822) to disable your card to prevent fraudulent withdrawals on your accounts.

Forwarding this alert to friends and family members would also help inform them and combat this fraud.

Thank you.
