#UBAMARKETPLACE19 - Day Two; Twice the expectation.
If you thought day 1 of the #UBAMarketplace19 was amazing, think again. Day 2 was out of this world!
Events kicked off with a panel session- Stars and Suits: Afropop meets High Finance. A chat with Wizkid and UBA GMD; Kennedy Uzoka.
The session moderated by Bollylomo covered the relationship between music and finance. It was a highly insightful session. After the session, a huge announcement was made. Click here to get the full details
Right after the session was a fashion show. It was yet another display of beautiful designs by Africa’s finest artists.
The designs were bold, daring, creative and of course African. Africa sure is filled with so many talents.
Next was the Leo treasure hunt. People had fun looking for clues from one point to another. Eventually, a winner emerged.
We had some more display of creativity with another fashion show just as the Founder’s den- a pitch session, was ongoing.
Moderated by Ozzy Agu, budding SME’s owners and entrepreneurs with amazing ideas each pitched to a panel. After a deliberation, the judges chose a winner. The winner was presented with his prize.
The final session- ‘The Bank to the Booth’ moderated by Folu Storms had Entertainment Dj’s which includes Dj Cuppy, Dj Neptune and Talented producer, Pheelz Mr Producer discuss their journey so far and how they have used the booth to create success.
The end of the panel session kicked off the concert with DJ Cuppy as the first artist to set the stage on fire. Next was Dj Neptune who took the crowd through a musical journey. Keeping the crowd entertained were BollyLomo and Shoddy.
After Dj Neptune came the beautiful and talented songstress, Niniola. She thrilled the crowd with some of her popular songs. After Niniola was done, Wizkid came on stage to entertain the yearning crowd. The crowd went wild.
He thrilled the crowd in his usual fashion. The crowd sang along song after song, word for word. The concert came to an end with Wizkid singing lyrics from recent song; ‘Brown Skin Girl’. The excited crowd sang at the top of their voices.
The #UBAMarketplace was an event no one will forget in a hurry. We came, people saw and left with memories they won’t forget in a hurry.
See you next year!
