Duties and Responsibilities

• Acquisition, management, and retention of client relationships
consistent with agreed targets, to improve deposit liability, growth
and mix, in line with the bank’s strategy.

• Ensuring that account opening processes are completed within
agreed service level time lines and stipulated KYC procedures.

• Prepare sales plans for business growth to achieve set targets which
include, but are not limited to, liabilities, assets, fees, FX, digital
products and account opening.

• Support implementation of various sales and marketing strategies
to meet ever changing customer needs in liaison with Branch/
Business Managers.

• Increase product penetration, diversify risk, and improve the bank’s
profitability through cross-selling and up-selling of bank products.

• Act as a liaison agent between the client and the bank with regard
to handling queries, complaints, issuing of instructions, and any
other arising customer issues.

• Safeguard and promote the bank’s image with the general public

• Prepare documentation on the creation of risk assets to increase
business office profitability.

• Ensure the reactivation of dormant accounts and relationships to
improve deposit liability, growth and profitability.

• Prepare weekly and monthly statistics/performance reports for
management use.
• Carry out Market Intelligence covering competition, specific
allocated sectors, and provide input to the New Product
Development process.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Corporate or their
designate.

We are seeking for suitable candidates to fill in the roles of Relationship Managers in our Corporate banking department. The relationship manager’s role will be to establish and maintain positive customer relationships, plan
and deliver effective sales strategies, and monitor the progress of new and existing products. Additionally, they will be required
to ensure seamless and timely service to customers through interfacing with other areas of the bank including Risk, Treasury,
and Operations

 

Job Requirement

 First degree in any field.

• Five (5) years cognate experience in corporate banking with a leading industry player.

• Additional professional qualifications will be an added advantage

Description

The job holder will be responsible for driving Trade business opportunities in Kenya to ensure that the organizations benefit from the full range of UBA’s Trade Services and Products.
The Incumbent will report to the Wholesale Banking Director and must possess 4-6 years cognate experience, 3 of which must have been with a large industry player. Strong customer service skills and demonstrated the ability to build professional relationships.
