Jean-Erwin Nizet

Jean-Erwin Nizet has over 35 years of experience in corporate and investment banking, with deep expertise in institutional transformation, regulatory engagement and the leadership of complex, multicultural organisations.

As Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of UBA France, Jean-Erwin leads the establishment and development of the Group's French subsidiary and its contribution to the Africa-Europe corridor. He joined UBA in 2026 from Ecobank International in Paris, where he had served as Deputy Managing Director and Executive Director since 2016.

Throughout his career he has held senior leadership positions across the French banking sector, including at Natixis, where he served as Deputy Director for Europe for corporate and investment banking and at Natexis Banques Populaires as Global Head of cross-functional Departments activities for Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) at Banque Federale des Banques Populaires and at La Banque Postale Group. He was also a founding partner of the consultancy Adequatio.

Jean-Erwin is a graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po).
