Pedro Maranguene

Pedro Maranguene is an accomplished banking executive with over 20 years of experience in financial services, distinguished by his leadership in market development, customer growth, and innovation in banking operations. He currently serves as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of United Bank for Africa (UBA) Mozambique.

Prior to this appointment, Pedro served as Executive Director, Business Development, from January 2024, where he was responsible for Corporate and Commercial Banking, Retail Banking, Treasury, and Digital Banking Sales. He joined UBA Mozambique in July 2020 as Head of Treasury, where he played a pivotal role in driving growth and strengthening the bank’s treasury operations.

Pedro holds a degree in Economics and an MBA in Administration. He brings extensive expertise in commercial finance, regulatory compliance, and operational risk management. His solid background also includes deep experience in credit analysis, business development, and the marketing of banking products and services.
