Osilama Idokogi

Osilama has over two decades of banking experience, spanning operations, technology, and Transaction Banking. As Group Head, Transaction Banking, he is responsible for sourcing and curating best-in-class technology to drive key customer segments across the Group – Corporate and Public Sector Collections, Corporate Payments, Value Chain Banking, Trade Products and Cash Management solutions.

In the realization of the pivotal role that technology plays in contemporary banking and payments space, especially for our corporate customers; he also superintends over our third party partnerships with Fintech players, Payment Service Providers, Electronic Money Issuers among others using our Acquiring and our Open Banking Infrastructure across the group. Osilama has balance sheet responsibilities combining both technical and sales functions in Transaction Banking.

Prior to this current role, Osilama was UBA’s Group Head of Information Technology, with responsibilities in creating sustainable shareholder value through the application of IT from Strategy to Implementation. He served in various capacities including the Head, IT Enterprise Applications Support; Head, IT Support Services; Head of IT International Rollout; amongst other roles. Osilama has a BSc degree in Computer Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University and several certifications globally.
